The Coach
I'm Henry Latimer and I have been working as a Professional Cycling Coach since 2019. I have a passion for a human centric approach to coaching, informed by the latest scientific approaches to training.
As a coach I aim to inspire, motivate and challenge my riders, all the while providing accountability, structure and support. I've worked with riders ranging from beginners through to professional riders, across disciplines including Road, Track, Time Trial, Cyclocross and Ultra Endurance.
Amongst the riders I have coached are national champions, elite road racers, paracyclists, Invictus Games gold medalists and World Record holders. Alongside competitive racers, I also coach amateur cyclists who aim to develop their fitness towards recreational goals.
I am a British Cycling Level 3 Coach, and spent 2 years on British Cycling's coaching Scholarship, gaining valuable insights into the workings of the Great Britain Cycling Team and other professional outfits.
I'm always keen to chat with new clients to discuss how I can support towards their goals.
The Rider
I first started racing in 2008, and rapdily developed from a local time triallist to a national level elite road racer. I haved won numerous national championship medals across various years, became Central Regional Road Race champion in 2014, and raced internationally in Belgium and France. I have won over 50 races in my career, riding across various semi-professional teams and gaining invaluable experience that I aim to pass on to all my competitive coached athletes.
I have been racing for British Elite Team TAAP Racing for 5 years, taking on a role as the road captain alongside Director Sportive duties when I am not racing.
In more recent times I have joined up with the Great Britain Cycling Team riding as part of the paralympic foundation squad as a tandem pilot for a visually impaired rider.
I strongly believe that by staying competitive as a racing cyclist, I can compliment my coaching attributes with up to date and relevant advice for my athletes.
